June kicked off the new catalog year at Stampin’ Up! and there are so many beautiful things to get any paper crafter excited! The new stamp images and designer series papers are always something to look forward to, and this year is absolutely no exception. Be sure to check out whats new by clicking the image below.
One of my must haves from the new catalog is the Over The Moon Cling Stamp Set. These adorable cows are just what a farmer’s wife like me needs in her stamp collection! And because it was recently our anniversary, I was able to use this set to make my DH a card for the occasion.
Honestly, I’m not too happy with my attempt at the whimsical pen strokes in the corners of this card, but I left them there anyways. DH doesn’t notice that they are awful. 🙂
After I stamped and colored my image, I cut it out using my circles in the Stitched Shapes Dies. I also created a frame which I sandwiched together using Foam Adhesive Strips. It wasn’t until after these were stuck together that I realized the stamp set also has a little tuft of grass that I could have stamped to make my background nicer.
Every part of this image is colored using aqua painters and ink pads, but Stampin’ Blends would have been even easier. Especially since you can see I ran out of the lines a little in some of the spots. With Stampin’ Blends, you can use the Color Lifter to fix those little mistakes.
Here are the items I used for today’s project:
