As we celebrate Stampin’ Up!’s 30th anniversary, I can’t help but reflect on my introduction to the company and stamping community. I was invited to a workshop for a friend who had just signed up as a demonstrator. I really didn’t think it was something I would like, but I wanted to help out my friend. So, I agreed to attend and brought along my sister and mom thinking they would make great customers. Boy, was I ever wrong! My guests thought it was “okay” but I absolutely fell in LOVE with the craft and the company too! I signed up as soon as I could convince my husband it was something I needed to do. No regrets!
One of the first things I purchased (probably with my demonstrator starter kit) was the Tags & More stamp set. It was important to me to invest in stamps that could be used for multiple occasions, so this one really fit the bill.
Even these are older images, they still make great cards! I decided to do a fall-inspired Get Well Soon card. The leaf image was a great choice for this idea and was nicely framed with the Wood Textures DSP stack.
This stamp set is old, but it brings new life to my crafting space today. The old and new paired together makes for a beautiful card design. I’ve added a sentiment from the Aprons of Love stamp set and enhanced the falling leaves with shimmer paint (another LOVE of mine).
Other than the retired Tags & More stamp set, here are the items I used for today’s project:
Lets take another look at today’s project. It is funny to see how much my stamping has matured over the years and I just love how this card turned out.
