I love a good sketch challenge, and that is exactly what the Sisters in Stamping gave us this week. Truthfully, it was me challenging the other designers but it wasn’t all that easy for me either. LOL!
Here is the original sketch – SIS #1
I created this sketch two months ago, and I’m fairly certain that when I designed it I had an idea on how my final project would look. But for the life of me I couldn’t recall that original idea. So, like the other designers I started from scratch as if someone else had done the sketch!
With Fall upon us, I decided to pull out my Seasonal Chums stamp set and made a Halloween card. These fun characters are intended as gift tags, but make a great focal point for cards too.
I used a variety of inks and an Aqua Painter to color in the Jack-O-Lantern. I love all the different ways that Stampin’ Up! offers to add color to stamped images. What is your favorite method of “coloring” your projects?
Here are the items I used for today’s project:
Just one more look at today’s project. I really love how this turned out, even though I’m sure that it is nothing like I originally planned.
Please take a moment to go over to the Sisters In Stamping blog to see all the wonderful ways our designers implemented this sketch challenge.
