I haven’t done enough stamping lately and decided to participate in a sketch challenge posted on the Fab Friday site this weekend. I didn’t even know this challenge site existed until I happened upon it today while surfing the internet and sipping my morning coffee. That is seriously one of my most favorite things to do – sip coffee and look at stamping inspiration, either online or flipping the pages of my Stampin’ Up! catalogs. Ah, so relaxing!
I immediately felt inspired by the clean simplicity of this FabFriday143 sketch (above), and had to join in the fun! The Cross of Hope framelits was the perfect focal point for this sketch, and I paired it with the Wood Textures DSP stack that I recently opened.
This designer series paper stack is one of those that I love, so I don’t use. I know, not very logical. I’m one of those paper hoarders when it’s something that I really love…and an illness I’m working to cure. LOL!
I love the rustic textures of this card. From the different types of wood in the dsp, the copper trim, and the delicate elements (stamped floral background, doily, and pearls), everything comes together beautifully.
Here are the items I used for today’s project:
So, how do you think I did with the FabFri143 challenge? I had a lot of fun working on this project and hope to participate in future challenges as well. It is sure to keep me stamping more often, so that is an added bonus.
As always, thanks for visiting with me today. I appreciate you!
