Spring is in the air – maybe? It’s still fairly cold around here! Today I created a cute welcome baby card that could used to congratulate an expecting mom/family, or even for shower invitations. The Garden Impressions DSP sets the stage for Spring arrivals, and the varying designs allowed me to easily coordinate my balloons and background layers.
These elephant themed balloons are so adorable! I punched them out of some DSP using the Balloon Bouquet punch. Then I stamped the elephant outline with StazOn Ink and the elephant solid stamp with the balloon coordinated color (Melon Mambo or So Safron).
The white background was created by using the Simply Scored tool, but could have easily been done with a textured embossing folder instead. The “hello adorable” sentiment banner was created with cardstock scraps by stamping words from the Tabs for Everything stamp set. I snipped the ends to make banner ends and also folded the Night of Navy layer for added dimension.
Here are the items I used for today’s project:
Here is one final look at today’s project. Don’t forget to head over to the Sisters In Stamping blog for other projects and ideas to celebrate growing families.
