While new things like the Storage by Stampin’ Up! is exciting, even the classics like the Lovely as a Tree stamp set are going strong. This is one of the earliest stamp sets I purchased. Many nature/tree images have come and gone, but this one has stood the test of time and continues to be a popular set for stampers. I wonder if it will continue to stay with us in the next retirement round?
I used glossy white cardstock and stamped the trees in Stazon Ink. Then I used a variety of sponges and classic inks to paint the landscape with vibrant colors. The trees were dotted with pink and purple blossoms with Blender Pens.
I trimmed the landscape image into three sections to give my project sort of a window pane effect. Each piece was then layered with Melon Mambo cardstock and adhered to the cardfront with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here are the items I used for today’s project:
This card is one of my favorites, and my kids liked it too. It was fun to see their reactions when they first saw it – “Wow! That’s cool!”
Awesome.
