There is a fun stamping technique named Masking (Painters) Tape Stamping. I like to use washi tape for this technique because it comes in various widths without me having to trim down tape strips to get the right look.
If you’ve not tried this technique yourself, I highly recommend you give it a go. All you do is tear a strip of tape longer than the cardstock you are stamping. Directly apply the tape to your ink pad to collect ink along the entire length of the tape. Next you lay the inked tape across your cardstock and allow the ink to transfer.
You can lightly rub your fingers over the tape to make sure the color transfers completely. Use the same strip of tape for multiple stamping with the same color. If you switch colors, use a new piece of tape.
