I’ve been looking forward to trying the Bridge Fold technique, so I was excited that the Sisters In Stamping theme this week focused on this very special fancy fold. I decided to take my layout inspiration from directly from the SU! annual catalog. You can see the sample card used on page 161 featuring the Colorful Seasons stamp set.
The card base is sized and scored perfectly so that the card can be folded and sent in a standard invitation sized envelope.
Card base: Cut at 8″ x 4-1/4″; Scored on the long side at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″, 5-1/2″, and 6-3/4″
Front “bridge” measures 1-1/2″ x 5-1’2″
A bunch of trial and error was used to get the layers of the ocean to sit where I wanted them. The easiest way to get each layer right was to measure 3″ for the center section, then fold the sides to match up with the card base.
Here are the items I used for today’s project:
Like I said, this didn’t turn out exactly like I wanted, but I’m happy with the results. I plan on trying many more layouts with the bridge fold card technique and I hope you try as well.
Here is one final look at today’s project. Don’t forget to head over to the Sisters In Stamping blog for other DSP projects ideas.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
